Jordan Hillis, Minister of Music
Jordan Hillis was born and raised in Pooler, GA. Church and music was always a big part of his upbringing. He enjoyed singing in church choirs, praise teams, high school and collegiate choirs, ensembles and musical theater.
At the age of six, he felt that God had big plans for his life and started his spiritual journey with the Lord. After a several years of teaching youth and adult groups, Jordan felt called back to his roots in music to lead in a worship setting.
His only time away from the Coastal Empire was spent in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, attending Truett McConnell University. It was there that he met his college sweetheart, Bailey. After dating throughout college, Jordan and Bailey were married on May 14, 2011. In September 2013, they welcomed what they believe to be their greatest blessing, a son whom they named Joel. In November 2018, they welcomed a second blessing, a daughter whom they named Olivia.
Jordan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Great Commission Studies from Truett McConnell University.
Jordan and his family were called into service at Woodlawn in June of 2016. Today, Jordan and his family enjoy spending their time in Downtown Savannah, going to Disney World, and serving those around them. His favorite scripture is Psalm 96:1, “Oh sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth.”
