Rev. Jim Staubes, Interim Pastor
Pastor Gary was born in Northern Virginia. His home church was Boulevard Baptist in Falls Church where he was mentored by his home church Pastor, Gene Foreman.
He trusted Christ as his Savior during his senior year in high school as he was singing in the Youth Choir during an early morning church service. God later called Him to preach during his college years. He and his wife, Debra, were married on July 4th (both of their birthdays are on July 5th too!). They are the proud parents of two adult children, Tim (a nurse), and Sarah (a graduate student). Pastor Gary earned his Bachelor’s degree from Averett College (now University) in Danville, Virginia and his Masters of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in NC. He has served on the staff and as a Pastor in various churches in Virginia and Georgia as well as previously serving as a Georgia Baptist State Missionary in Collegiate Ministry. In his free time, Pastor Gary enjoys gardening, golf, watching the Atlanta Braves, Washington Redskins and Virginia Tech Hokies, and any activity with his wife and family. His favorite scripture verse is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” |
